Danni and Charlie do craft

Two ladies and a whole lotta wool

The DK knitting bible: everything you need in one hefty volume

I love this book. A couple of week’s ago a lovely colleague of mine left this on my desk and what a treat it was.

Page upon page of beautifully shot pictures, and all the techniques you could possibly wish for with – from lace to cable, colour work and fair isle.

There’s a really great projects sections, and then a whole section on various stitch patterns. A lot of the patterns use Rowan wool.

This book is £25 and worth every penny. I don’t think you’d need another book, it seems to cover off your every knitting need.

About thisischarlie

I'm Charlie Parker, one half of the craft duo Danni and Charlie do craft. I love crafting in all its guises, from baking to knitting to growing vegetables (which most definitely IS a craft). I am all about local - local wool, local shops, local communities. I am a novice drawer and doodler, my plan is to be better and do my own illustration zine and then hit the road with my wool and bearded Canadian. These are my dreams. Thank you for visiting my blogs.
