Two ladies and a whole lotta wool

Crafty foxes – Charlie’s top picks for a foxy obsession

Last year, I wrote about a little obsession I had with owls. That post proved incredibly popular on the blog (and earned me a reputation for being an out-and-out owl fanatic which I’m not). So this post is to prove there are other animals that lend their cute likeness to craft. And this post is dedicated to the crafty fox.

Right, I know you guys love a bit of embroidery, so here are couple of fox embroidery patterns to have a go at:

Love this cute and simple pattern and you can follow the simple how-to guide over on the Goodsmiths blog

Love fancy dress? Then you’ll no doubt love this fox’s tail:

CUTE! Buy the fox’s tail (and other critters) over on Etsy – from £25

It only seemed right to feature Donna Wilson’s Cyril the [Squirrel] Fox pattern, since I’ve previously blogged about the awesome Olive Owl also by Donna Wilson. This pattern is also in The Knitted Odd Bunch.

Knitted fox Cyril by Donna Wilson

You can buy Cyril already made from around £50 or you can get the pattern in The Knitted Odd-bod BunchHere are some examples over on Ravelry and have a go yourself.

I love Lea Stein jewellery, I own one of her chicken brooches myself. I also love this fox pin:

Since I also featured owl earrings, it seemed right to put some foxy earrings on this list. I love these by bRainbow:

These guys have great branding. Visit their shop on Etsy.

Had to include this Tatty Divine classic – the stunning fox brooch:

Classic Tatty Devine. Buy from Howkapow online shop.

And finally, I stumbled upon this awesome fox puppet from Hong Kong:

Because I love a good puppet. You can buy this on Etsy.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this whistle-stop tour of what foxy goodness is out there in the world of craft.

About thisischarlie

I'm Charlie Parker, one half of the craft duo Danni and Charlie do craft. I love crafting in all its guises, from baking to knitting to growing vegetables (which most definitely IS a craft). I am all about local - local wool, local shops, local communities. I am a novice drawer and doodler, my plan is to be better and do my own illustration zine and then hit the road with my wool and bearded Canadian. These are my dreams. Thank you for visiting my blogs.
